Siempre Así and Pignoise kick off the XVI Solidarity Music Festival of Ciudad de la Raqueta

29 June 2026

The first weekend of the XVI Ciudad de la Raqueta Solidarity Music Festival, the most anticipated of the summer in Madrid, left two nights that the BamVolea community will remember for a long time: live music, an experience from beginning to end and the energy of an audience that gave it all.

A scenario unlike any other

There are few places in Madrid where you can play padel in the morning, have dinner with friends at sunset, and end the night singing at the top of your lungs under the stars. Ciudad de la Raqueta is one of them, and it proves it time and again every summer.

On June 12th and 13th, the BamVolea venue was transformed once again. The dance floors took a backseat, and the stage took center stage, along with all the magic that only a festival like this, now in its sixteenth edition, is capable of generating.

The 16th Solidarity Music Festival is not just a musical event, but the annual gathering of a community that shares much more than a love of sport. And this first weekend made that clearer than ever.

Siempre Así opens the XVI Ciudad de la Raqueta Solidarity Music Festival in style

The doors opened at 7:30 pm and people arrived eager to get started. The space filled with groups of friends and families.

At 8:00 p.m., Kisko Espinosa and La Fama warmed up the crowd and got them in a celebratory mood before the headliner took the stage. And at 9:00 p.m. sharp, Siempre Así took the stage.

The group, a leading name in popular music with decades of experience and a repertoire that practically everyone knows by heart, delivered a flawless performance filled with a connection with the audience. That blend of nostalgia and joy that characterizes them worked perfectly in an environment like Ciudad de la Raqueta: intimate, close-knit, and vibrant.

Pignoise unleashes the night

If Friday was warm, Saturday was an explosion. Pignoise, one of the most beloved Spanish rock-pop groups, arrived at Ciudad de la Raqueta with all their energy and left no corner untouched.

De Rancho kicked off the evening at 8:00 PM, setting the stage with a performance that immediately drew cheers, before DJ Matarranz took over to keep the energy high. When Pignoise took to the stage at 9:00 PM, the venue erupted.

The trio, with their signature sound blending melodic rock and guitar-driven pop, performed their entire discography with the ease and connection with the audience that only comes from years of performing live. Cell phones lit up the night, the voices of the crowd joined theirs, and the dance floor became a single body moving in perfect unison.
