The first weekend of the 16th Solidarity Music Festival at Ciudad de la Raqueta, the most anticipated of the summer in Madrid, delivered two nights that the BamVolea community will remember for a long time: live music, a full end-to-end experience, and the energy of a crowd that gave everything.
THE VENUE
A stage unlike any other.
There are few places in Madrid where you can play padel in the morning, have dinner with your loved ones at sunset, and end the night singing at the top of your lungs under the stars. Ciudad de la Raqueta is one of them, and every summer it proves it in full.
On June 12 and 13, the BamVolea venue was transformed once again. The courts took a back seat and the stage became the main focus, along with all the magic that only a festival like this, already in its 16th edition, is capable of creating.
The 16th Solidarity Music Festival is not just a musical event, but the annual gathering of a community that shares much more than a love for sport. And this first weekend made that clearer than ever.
FRIDAY, JUNE 12
Siempre Así kicks off the 16th Solidarity Music Festival at Ciudad de la Raqueta in spectacular fashion.
The doors opened at 7:30 p.m., and people arrived eager and excited. The venue filled with groups of friends and families.
At 8:00 p.m., Kisko Espinosa and La Fama warmed up the crowd and got everyone into celebration mode before the headliner’s arrival. And at exactly 9:00 p.m., Siempre Así took the stage.
The group, a benchmark of popular music with decades of experience and a repertoire that almost everyone knows by heart, delivered a flawless performance full of connection with the audience. That blend of nostalgia and joy that defines them worked perfectly in a setting like Ciudad de la Raqueta: close, intimate, and vibrant.
SATURDAY, JUNE 13
Pignoise ignites the night.
If Friday was warm, Saturday was an explosion. Pignoise, one of the most beloved rock-pop bands in Spain, arrived at Ciudad de la Raqueta with all their energy and didn’t leave a single corner untouched.
De Rancho opened the night at 8:00 p.m., setting the tone with a performance that already drew the first ovations, before DJ Matarranz took over to keep the energy at its peak. When Pignoise hit the stage at 9:00 p.m., the venue erupted.
The trio, with their signature sound blending melodic rock and guitar-driven pop, moved through their discography with the ease and connection with the audience that only comes after years on stage. Phones lit up the night, the crowd’s voices joined theirs, and the venue turned into a single body moving in unison to the same rhythm.
